Knowledge Centre Support Team
The Knowledge Centre Support Team is a dedicated student support facility at the Knowledge Centre in NOIDA created specifically to assist you throughout the duration of your academic career. Each student is designated a Support Counsellor and Academic Counsellor who together form your personal Support team.
Support Counsellor
The role of the Support Counsellor is to specifically assist you with your administrative requirements during admissions and all through your time at WLCI. Your Support Counsellor assists you in the fee payment process, obtaining student loans for tuition fee, buying a laptop and arranging for hostel/paying guest accommodation if you so desire.
Your Support Counsellor will also be your point of contact for guidance on matters related to transfer to another campus within India as well as transfers to international universities.
Academic Counsellor
The role of your academic counsellor is to monitor and provide feedback on your academic progression during your stay at the college.
He/She will help you with concerns related to attendance, faculty feedback, timely assignment submission, results and assessments, traineeship, mentoring reports, final placement, reference letters and credit transfers.
In-campus Mentor
Every student who joins WLCI is assigned an in-campus mentor. Whether you require a personal sounding board or need academic assistance, your mentor will support, motivate and inspire you through systematic reminding, counseling and mentoring. Your mentor also ensures that you remain focused on pursuing and achieving your career goals and continues to be a positive emotional role model for you.Your mentor will normally make arrangements to meet you either individually or in groups. However, you can also arrange to meet your mentor whenever you feel the need to do so. Your mentor will motivate you to develop a variety of individual skills through independent study and extracurricular activities.
She/he will also crucially be your interface with the industry - monitoring and supporting you throughout your traineeship and providing you with feedback on your performance and progress from your Industry supervisor or manager.
You are advised to keep your mentor informed of your achievements during your traineeship and also about live projects, which you may have undertaken. This would help you when you need to ask your personal mentor to act as one of your referees for jobs you may have applied for.
Remember, this is a two-way process and you will only get out of it as much as you put in. So make the most of it!
