HR management holds the key to the success of a business organisation and therefore manpower is valued to be as important as financial capital. Today, the Industry is competing for the best in the limited pool of talent available to it. The focus has therefore shifted from mere hiring to talent acquisition. There is a strong emphasis not only on employing people who are most suited for the job, but also on training and developing employees by providing them with a supportive environment. Today, many young people are choosing the HR profession to pursue rewarding careers in the industry.
Professional Certificate I
In this programme you will develop competencies in managing HR activities in business organisations. You will be given a thorough understanding of the processes and skills required to become an effective and result-oriented HR professional. At this level you will learn four core HR functions-Talents Acquisition, Talent Management & Organisation Development, Administration and HRIS. You will also have the choice of specialising in one of the following sub professions- Compensation & Benefit Management, Employee Relations or Learning Services.
Talent Acquisition
During this module you will develop abilities in creating a recruitment plan by applying different tools and applications of manpower planning. You will learn to prepare a manpower budget for an organisation and source suitable candidates for recruitment. You will also be trained in various methods of recruitment and selection, as well as, in interviewing techniques.
Talent Management and Organisation Development
This core module focuses on setting performance standards, coaching and feedback mechanisms. You will learn to review performance standards, conduct appraisals, carrying out coaching of employees and prepare feedback on performance gaps.
Administration
In this module you will learn key aspects of Facility and logistics management. You will also acquire knowledge and skills to manage vendors and handle statutory safety requirements for the organisation. The module will also focus on procurement processes, development of negotiation skills and ability to handle crisis situations.
Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
HRIS is an area within HR which has opened up many job opportunities for young professionals like you. You will be introduced to the processes of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Process Engineering. You will learn to carry out talent audits and gap analysis, analyze bench strengths and competency modeling.
Optional - Any One
Compensation and Benefit Management
This module introduces you to various compensation models and their application in organisations. You will acquire abilities in carrying out compensation surveys to evolve an appropriate compensation structure for an organisation. You will also be able to develop salary structures, incentive packages and benchmark salaries.
Employee Relations
In this module you will focus on all aspects of Employee Relation policies. You will be introduced to contract management and other statutory compliances. You will also be familiarised with wage and salary administration along with management of payroll.
Learning Services
This module will help you build abilities in carrying out training need analysis and relevant content creation to meet organisational training goals. You will also learn how to prepare and manage the process of learning, including the logistics of conducting training programmes and auditing them.
Professional Certificate II
In this programme you will build enhanced abilities in three core functions in HR, namely, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Organisation Development and Human Resource Information System (HRIS). You will then specialise in any one of the following sub professions-Compensation and Benefit Management, Employee Relations or Learning Services.
Talent Acquisition
At this level you will learn advanced processes of recruitment, including the induction process and other aspects of induction. You will be introduced to HR analytics and tools of CRM used in HR. You will also be familiarised with legal and statutory requirements of recruitment and handling grievances.
Talent Management and Organisation Development
This module will focus on processes of Industrial psychology and organisational behavior. These include organisational diagnostics as well as innovations in OB and change management. You will learn the process of organisational development, intervention techniques and their implementation, action planning and inter-group development.
Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
In this domain you will be made fully conversant with the field of learning/knowledge management, including measurement of knowledge and assessment of consulting skills. You will understand the basic concepts of HR MIS and develop skills in the application of HR MIS tools. You will also learn to use various industry-specific HR packages.
Optional - Any One
Compensation and Benefit Management
In this specialisation you will focus on the areas of job evaluation, taxation aspects of compensation management, the entire payroll management process as well as international compensation structures. You will also acquire knowledge of legal compliances with respect to compensation and benefits.
Employee Relations
In this sub profession you will gain an in-depth understanding of the Employee Relation policies as well as the complete process of wage management. You will learn to conduct employee satisfaction surveys, analyse results and implement corrective measures. During the module you will learn the principles of wage and salary administration and be acquainted with the legal and statutory compliances.
Learning Services
At this level you will build advanced abilities in conducting training programmes. You will learn how to engage with internal and external trainers and implement MIS policies related to training. You will also develop skills of vendor management and gain an in depth-understanding of the practices used in training programmes.
