WLCI's unique Professional Development System, a carefully structured learning process, goes far beyond any educational programme as it equips students with 'real' competencies to excel throughout life.
There are four components to this system namely - content, workshops, assessment and coaching. |
Content
Our Faculty, supported by the Academic Council of the Business and Creative Schools of the college ensure that the curriculum of every programme of the college is continuously refined and enhanced to provide you with all the necessary professional skills required for diverse career paths. All Advanced and Professional level programmes have a well-defined modular plan with clearly defined learning outcomes.
Content includes pre-study, case studies, workshops, assignments, web-content and recommended readings. We ensure that you are an active participant in your learning process. Module-wise and integrated assignments at various stages of study are also designed to ensure that you develop the ability to apply concepts, practice skills and attitudes learnt in the class.
At WLCI, the classroom is a vibrantly charged space where your faculty stimulates you to participate in discussions and debates and urges you to learn from each other's thought processes and experience. Special emphasis is laid on developing your communication and presentation skills. |
Assessment
 WLCI's transparent assessment system has been designed and formulated in such a manner that both students and faculty easily understand it. Each module has pre-defined learning outcomes based on which your performance is graded. This systematic approach makes it easy to record and track your academic progress based on which you are given specific feedback on your strengths and weaknesses.
You will execute two assignments for each module at pre-determined stages to ensure that you can apply what you have learnt. At the end of each level you are also required to submit integrated assignments that assess you on subject knowledge and retention skills.
Furthermore you also undertake monthly and level-wise Knowledge tests as well as online Attitude tests conducted at every level and annually. Thus you can be sure that your assessment will be completely fair and our faculty will aim to ensure that you fulfill all learning objectives. |
Coaching
 Our coaching process has been fine tuned to ensure that each of you is incredibly motivated to excel in your chosen field of study. Coaching here is not defined in the conventional sense of the term but is instead a tool to remind and assist students in successfully completing their assignments and surpassing the minimum prescribed learning outcomes. This process also works in conjunction with our mentoring process across all areas of your academic and professional training at the college. |
