At the College, we have taken care that you are assisted in every possible way through the entire admission process. You can also have a detailed discussion with our counsellors at the WLCI Campuses / Offices.
Once you have decided to enroll into one of our programmes, the next step would be apply to the College. Our admission process ensures that you select a programme which is most suited to your aptitude and aspirations.
Once your application form is received by us, you will be assigned a Counsellor who will assist you through the admission process. This Counsellor will also be your personal guide and will support you throughout your time at the College.
You will be assisted in various ways including fee payment, obtaining student loans for tution fees etc.
You can also approach your Counsellor for guidance on matters related to hostel/PG accomodation, transfer to other campuses, transfer to International universities etc.
Admission Process
The Admission Process is a three tier process comprising of the WLC Admission Test (WAT) & WLC Professional Test (WPT), Interview and Post Counselling.
Your Counsellor will inform you of the date of the WLC Admission Test. You will be required to take the WAT and WPT which last for 90 minutes. This will be followed by a Personal Interview..
The test comprises of three sections: Quantitative Ability, English Comprehension & Communication and Analytical Ability.
Quantitative Ability : This section is designed to test the quantitative ability of the candidates. The test consists of matriculation level questions on Fractions, Percentage, Rate of Interest, Work and Task, Ration and Proportion, Distance, Profit & Loss, Algebra and Geometry etc.
Analytical Ability : This section is aimed at evaluating the candidate's ability to identify the logic or reason involved in a particular problem and applying that logic in solving the problem. Application of creative and lateral thinking will also be tested.
English Comprehension & Communication : This section is aimed at testing the verbal and written language skills of candidates. It included questions on comprehension, vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, word substitutes, idioms and phrases, spellings, etc.
WLC Professional Test (WPT)
This test will be administered separately for Creative and Business Students.
Business School Test : This test is aimed at evaluating the candidate's knowledge and awareness about the national and international business environment. It also tests the candidate's General Knowledge and ability to deal with managerial and other issues through situation analysis.
Creative School Test : This test is administrated to assess specific skills of candidates. These include power of observation, innovation, designing and drawing abilities. An important aspect of the test assesses the candidate's usage of colour and illustration. Those applying for Media programmes will be tested for analytical writing and comprehension skills. Candidates will also be tested for general knowledge pertaining to their field of interest.
Interview
The tests will then be followed by a personal interview. Each candidate will be evaluated for skills and abilities required in his/her chosen field. Candidates will also be judged for communication and social skills, basic knowledge of the courses, clarity of thought and personality traits. Candidates applying for programmes in Fashion, Media or Graphic Design can also carry portfolios /examples of work which showcase their visual and writing skills.
Post Counselling
The Post Counselling session in an important part of the Admission process as it gives you an opportunity to clarify any doubt that you may have about the programme you have applied for.
The Counsellor will also help you select the campus most suited to your needs. You will be given detailed information on the fee structure, payment plan, loans and scholarships.
Candidates are advised to occupy their seats 15 minutes before commencement of the test.
The use of calculator, electronic diary, cell phone, pager etc. is not permitted in the hall.
Candidates must bring their own stationary items likes pen, pencil, color pencils and crayons
You will be given instructions in the beginning of the tests. We advise you to follow them scrupulously.
Declaration of Result
The result will be declared and posted on the College website with in 3 working days of the Admission Test. It will also be dispatched by post/email to successful candidates.
Registration Procedure
On Selection, you will need to submit a duly filed Registration form along with 2 passport size photographs, attested mark sheets and the registration fees to any of our offices/campuses.
