It is learning with fun at WLCI Media – as the theoretical lectures go hand in hand with the industry exposure. Theory is accompanied with new practical explorations. One such occasion, was the Student Fellowship Programme where the WLCI Delhi Media students got an excellent opportunity of participating in this at the MEDIA MEET – THE COALITION held at TALKATORA STADIUM. The 3 day programme was held from 4th March to 6th March 2016. It had30 curators and 300 speakers from 11 different streams and hundred new ideas from the field of: 1. Journalism 2. Music 3. Comedy 4. Content Writing 5. Photography 6. Digital Art 7. Media Entrepreneurship 8. Graphic Design 9. Fashion Media The chief minister of Delhi Mr. Arvind Kejriwal was among the top speakers on the second Day of the programme. Deepak Ramona – lyricist of film WAZIR was also one of the most engaging speakers of the meet. This Media Meet brought India's creative community together under one roof with the aim of fuelling the next wave of creative ventures in the country. It surfaced variety of brilliant ideas through sessions, workshops, panel and networking events. The festival also offered plenty of opportunities to the people. The fun element was enhanced with live performances by musicians, comedians and special film screenings. The coalition started off as a boot camp for freelancers, entrepreneurs, students, professionals and other aspirants who wanted to transform their ideas into a business. Lines by Media student – Monika Verma "For us " as WLCI Media Students - The coalition goes much beyond just a platform showcasing creativity. It served as a hub for inspiration- one that generates ideas, innovation, new technologies and creative visions. On 4th March the Journalism session was featured by KAVI BHANSALI. An exciting session, that discussed about the advertisements of news or the news models of private news channels. I attended the content session which was featured with MALINI of Miss. MALINI and Miss. RHEA GUPTY . They discussed their success stories, their achievements and hard work. There were many workshops and food stalls. On 5th March the Chief Minister of Delhi Mr. ARVIND KEJRIWAL discussed about the opportunities for creative professionals. The festival hosted power - packed panel discussions exploring social impacts of Art and Content Creation, thus encouraging unique perspective and motivating creative exchanges. We participated in the festival and learnt about all the possible new dimensions of Media and allied fields with much fun and frolic. It was indeed a great experience.
